FAX MACHINES Available fax machines are widespread, from machines that only accept a piece of paper at a time and utilise specialpaper to produce incoming access, to large multi-function machines that carries out fax functions like a printer or photocopier. They require linkage to a telephone line either through a dedicated fax machine, or through a computerised system that can automatically send incoming faxes to the correct person via email. Fax comes from the term facsimile which means an exact copy or reproduction. In general terms, it can be said as the act of transmittimg the document itself. Computer can also provide both fax sending and receiving functions. |
