USE

iPods feature five buttons that have respective functions:

Play/Pause

Menu
Backs up one level in the menus

Previous
Skips back through tracks in play

Next
Skips forward through tracks in play

Select
The button in the center of the scroll wheel that selects a menu or a song to play

A “Hold” switch placed on the top of the unit will make the buttons and scroll wheel unresponsive. The user can force it to reset if the iPod becomes unresponsive. Due to firmware or hardware problem, iPods may not start and will exhibit the “sad iPod” image.
